   The Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association is a voluntary association of lawyers, Judges, Associate Judges, legal assistants, court coordinators and other professionals who strive to improve the practice of family law, which includes divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, modification, paternity, enforcement, contempt, pre-marital agreements, mediated settlement agreements, QDROs, adoption, termination, juvenile justice, partitions and name changes.

Complaints Against Attorneys:  
We occasionally receive inquiries about possible attorney misconduct from the general public.  Please be advised that only the State Bar of Texas is authorized to discipline attorneys, not local bar associations.  Please direct all inquiries or complaints to the State Bar of Texas.

*2008 Family Law Survival Guide
The 2008 Tarrant County Family Law Survival Guide is now available to TCFLBA members.  This updated notebook provides information as to the practices and procedures of the Tarrant County Family Law Courts.  Also included are Family Law Quick Tips, Local Rules of Court and Procedures for Cases in Tarrant County Family Court Services.  The cost is $25 and may be purchased at the Sept. 23 luncheon or by contacting Lori Spearman (817-416-27110 or Jeff Kaitcer (817-377-0060).

*New Procedures for Finalization of Termination/Adoption Cases
Effective immediately, no termination/adoption files will be distributed by the Clerk to the attorney or staff.  Prove-ups must be scheduled with the Clerk no later than 4:00pm on the day prior to the desired prove-up.  The attorney or staff shall provide the Clerk with the case number and location of Court for the prove-up.  The clerk will deliver the file to the Court and retrieve it.  The attorney and clients will appear in the designated Court for the scheduled prove-up.  Conformed copies may be picked up from the Clerk after the prove-up.
